You can get COVID-19 testing done with Doctors Urgent Care. First, if you have any COVID-19 symptoms, you must talk to our professional and get yourself tested, or if you don’t have any symptoms, you can call us for details on self-isolating. The COVID-19 testing system we provide is drive-up testing at our clinic’s curbside, and we ask that you call us once you’ve arrived. Please read on for further details.

Do I need to be hospitalized if I have mild COVID-19 symptoms?

If you have severe COVID-19 symptoms (symptoms that are life-threatening), you’ll need to call 911 for emergency care and you may need to be hospitalized. Severe symptoms include:

– Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
– Chest pain/pressure
– Loss of speech or movement

Most of the time, COVID-19 symptoms are mild (non-life-threatening), and for mild symptoms, you very likely won’t have to be hospitalized and will be able to recover at home. If you have these symptoms, call us here at Doctors Urgent Care so we can evaluate your symptoms and see if you need to be tested. Please don’t come to see us in person, as this could put our other patients and our staff at risk of infection. It could put you at risk too if you’re not already sick. Common mild symptoms include:

– Fever
– Tiredness
– Dry cough

What should you do if you may have been exposed to COVID-19 and have no symptoms?

You can have COVID-19 but not have any recognizable symptoms. You can also transmit COVID-19 without having recognizable symptoms. If you suspect you may have COVID-19 but aren’t having symptoms, you need to quarantine (self-isolate) for 14 days. This means staying at home, avoiding contact with other people, and monitoring yourself for symptoms. Call us at our clinic for further details on this.

How do I book a COVID-19 test?

If you have mild COVID-19 symptoms, you may need to be tested. Please understand that we are screening all applicants first. The following is the procedure for getting tested with Doctors Urgent Care:

– Tell us during your visit about your symptoms and if your family or other people may have been exposed to the virus too
– If we believe you should get tested, we’ll invite you to come by our clinic for drive-up testing at our clinic’s curbside
– For your test, please remain in your car and call us once you’ve arrived so we can come out to meet you in your car and provide the test
– If you require a rapid test, we’ll tell you how we can proceed with it
– We’ll provide your test safely and tell you how to proceed

Our staff and other patients appreciate your understanding and cooperation!
